The bigger the vessel...

...the more you end up putting into it: a study in the UK on portion control has the opposite, and financial effect, on a local pub. After seeing that customers drank 9% more when served wine in larger glasses, the pub has now permanently switched their glasses from 10oz to 12oz. Great for sales, not so much for moderation!
